Nepali newsroom

Ten students, aged 12–18, are currently enrolled in a journalism project at Mountain Children’s Home in Dandagaun, Kathmandu, Nepal.

As of September 2024, the students have been divided into two groups: five in the beginner group and five in the intermediate group. Previously, they were taught in a single-group setting.

Bal Krishna Sah coordinates the project at the Mountain Children Home in Kathmandu, providing two hours of journalism sessions to each group per week, with each student currently working on individual author bios. In addition, two hours of English lessons are taught to each group weekly.

Shristi Kafle teaches two journalism sessions a month, while Roshany Ale Magar, who teaches weekly dancing and singing class, may also assist with English classes as needed.
